Zarryon Fereti has been dismissed from the men's basketball team, according to head coach Anthony Solomon. "I am very disappointed that it came to this," Solomon said in a press release Monday afternoon. "He had ample opportunity to embrace the philosophies of our program."
Fereti is the 12th player to leave the program during Solomon's tenure.
Fereti, a junior, transferred to St. Bonaventure from Southern Idaho, a junior college, last spring.
In 24 games, including eight starts, Fereti averaged 12.1 points per game and 2.1 rebounds for the Bonnies - good for second on the team - in 27 minutes per game. He also was second on the team in 3-pointers made (50) and free throw percentage (.865).
His free throw percentage ranked him sixth in the Atlantic 10, based on player's making 2.5 free throws per game played. He also ranked 10th in the conference in 3-pointers made per game, with 2.08.
