Almost three-quarters of us - U.S. citizens are now opposed to the war in Iraq. We're worried about how so many wounded veterans have been treated poorly and buried in paperwork. We're concerned about the nearly 700,000 Iraqi citizens who have been killed. We're amazed that the president is contemplating another war front in Iran. We're angry that the Patriot Act has been, by the FBI's own admission, used unlawfully. If you're in any of these categories, please join in a one-hour gathering at noon Saturday in front of Howe library in Wellsville.
If you've never been to such an event before, don't worry. This one is legal; we have the library's permission and the Wellsville police have been informed.
Bring a sign if you want or don't. If you join us, you'll feel stronger because you know you're not alone in your concerns. You'll feel better that you've spoken up in a democracy where majority rules. You might even enjoy talking with some of the people.
If you have any questions, I can be reached at 585-268-5127.
