The Bonnies committed 20 turnovers for the second straight game. Loyola Marymount fared no better, committing 22 turnoversGuard Tyler Relph played 32 minutes on what coach Mark Schmidt Monday called a broken foot. He said Relph's condition is improving every game and that the guard would not have been able to play the 32 minutes he played Friday if he would have tried last week.
After limping off with a cramp against Binghamton, guard Zarryon Fereti played for 39 minutes . Schmidt said he might have used the 1-3-1 too much against LMU. "It was at times (as successful)," he said. "But we probably stayed in it a little too long."
Referees issued Schmidt a technical for leaving the coach's box with 9:00 remaining, his second of the season for the same violation. Schmidt said he told the referee that he was not in the right position to make a call, something the referee took "as an insult."
Schmidt said, "Where I come from, that's not an insult.
